Nanotubes have tons of applications - some are known and some we cannot imagine in our wildest dreams.
One example of how we can use carbon nanotubes is to conduct sensations through artificial skin back to the brain, making prosthetic limbs feel like the real thing. Then there is the space elevator. Today we already use nanotubes in alternative energy sources like solar cells.
