In Norway we say that "the sun turns", which of course should NOT be taken literally. The winter solstice is either 21. or 22. December, sometimes agitating heated discussions about what date it is. Both are right, depending on what year we are talking about. Check your almanacs. :-)

Here far north, in Norway, we already see more of the light. Then, we are of course highly sensitive to it particularly at this time of year. :-)
