Saturn

Storms on Saturn

The longest storm on Saturn was in fact discovered by an amateur astronomer in Australia. At all times the amateurs have contributed substantially to a better understanding and discoveries within astronomy. This example from down under, is a good example of just how important their contributions are. And how much fun it must be for amateurs when they actually influence huge science programs, like Cassini-Huygens here.
