New Orleans is just not given much of a break is it. Well, right outside the coast from New Orleans tons of oil leaked out into the ocean. Spectacular view from space - not so much so in-situ, I'm sure.

What an odd couple!

Solar Granules and Bright Spots

Solar granules on the quiet solar surface look pretty neat. What is special with this image though, is the white spots revealing hotter spots from the inner photosphere of the Sun (darker is cooler areas)

Thanks to more 'action' on the Sun again (more spots) we get to enjoy auroras. The Sun has so many 'faces'. :-)

Blue Swans

Superb Swans



These swans are elegant and come in blue, my favorite color! We have swans here at the lake where I live. They are elegant to look at in real life as well, though pretty darn aggressive! Yes, I was actually attacked by one while swimming. I won that battle, but for small kids it can be very scary.

Still, I love swans. And what better than to have them in blue! These here go very well with my porcelain, too. :-)
