Magic Carpet - For Real?




It is physics in everything, also in fairy tales.

I leave it to you to read about Rapunzel as having waist long blond hair myself I don't need theoretical physics to tell me what the abundant imperical data I've gathered over the years already tells me. However, a flying carpet (magical carpet) is both far more exotic for a Scandinavian and an interesting physical challlenge. It turns out that there could be some airwaves helping a carpet stay a float an move in the air for some time, but not as in the 1001 Arabian Nights fairy tale. Yet.
